Response to Redundancy (R2R) – FREE training to help you find your next role.

Welcome to the Response to Redundancy programme. This is a new initiative funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and the European Social Fund (ESF), designed to support individuals who have been made redundant, have received notice of redundancy or are currently unemployed and looking for work. To be eligible for the programme, you must either live or work in one of the following boroughs: Richmond, Kingston, Sutton, Merton, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Lewisham, Greenwich.

MZI are carrying out this Response to Redundancy training programme, which takes place at our offices in Richmond, Surrey, to help individuals get back into work and is absolutely free.

How can R2R help you?

We offer a training programme which takes place over a 2 day period. During this time, our trainers will coach, guide and share with you the skills that you need to help you secure the job you want, as well as prepare you for entering the job market. With Greater London having the highest unemployment rate in the country, with nearly 30% of Londoners out of work, every job opportunity is precious. Given this current climate, we ensure that everyone who attends our training programme is fully equipped to find their next role.

The R2R training programme covers a range of topics to help you develop the essential skills and techniques for getting back into employment. Examples include: writing an effective CV, preparing for interview (including the do’s and don’ts of the interview process), tips on job searching, through to salary negotiation. We will also discuss techniques on how to boost your confidence and advise on how to achieve what you really want from your next career move.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for this programme, you need to satisfy the following criteria:

• Aged over 18 years old.
• Under notice of redundancy, or unemployed.
• Available for work and actively seeking work.
• Live or work in one of the following boroughs: Richmond, Kingston, Sutton, Merton, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Lewisham, Greenwich.
